➡️ Monday - Literary Term of the Week: Start your week by introducing students to 76 different literary devices using modern, high-interest examples and video clips from music lyrics, television, movies, novels, celebrities, and images. Discuss each term together, and have students record the definition and their own examples of the literary device on the weekly student handout or in the provided booklet. Posters are also included so you can create a bulletin board display featuring the new literary devices as students learn them. Throughout the week, students can continue adding examples of the literary device in action.
➡️ Tuesday - Discussion of the Week (What Would You Do?): Use the next day to engage your students in meaningful discussion! This resource includes 40 thought-provoking prompts featuring ethical dilemmas that challenge students to decide what they would do in specific situations. You can discuss the prompt as a whole class or divide students into small groups to share their ideas and report back to the group. This is an excellent tool for fostering critical thinking and encouraging friendly, respectful debate.
