GIVER GENRE PRESENTATION: DYSTOPIA SCIENCE FICTION

Introduce genre in The Giver by Lois Lowry’s with this interactive Powerpoint presentation (18 slides). The presentation includes information on the following genres: Dystopia, Utopia, and Science Fiction. It also includes links to movie trailers that follow this genre so students will have a better understanding. There are also three slides to use once the novel is completed which connect how The Giver employs these genres.
