Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief Activity - The Underworld Boarding Passes: Reflect on character development with this creative activity inspired by Percy’s journey into the Underworld. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, Percy and his friends witness a chilling image in the Underworld: souls holding a green boarding pass as they enter the afterlife. This assignment invites students to imagine what those passes might say for Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Sally based on their choices and experiences.

This activity is best used after students have completed Chapter 18 of the novel, once they are familiar with Percy’s descent into the Underworld and have a clear understanding of each main character’s journey, traits, and moral choices.
