End of the Year Escape Room - Escape to Summer Break Breakout Game Activity: This end of the year escape room activity is the perfect activity to wrap up the school year. The activity is a great way to get students up and moving together and makes for a positive way to end the school year! The resource includes everything you need to facilitate the activity in your classroom. Although it works especially well during the last weeks of school, this activity can be completed at any point in the school year.

Students will begin by reading a backstory that sets up the escape room. On the last day of school, students stumble upon “The Chrono Codex” in the library. They accidentally read a time-altering spell, causing the school day to freeze just before summer break begins! As the clock hands start to move backward, they realize they’re trapped in a time loop. Determined to escape, they discover that completing the six challenges at the end of the Codex is the key to breaking free before summer break slips away forever.
