CHARACTER ASSIGNMENT FOR ANY NOVEL OR SHORT STORY - MOVIE PLAYLIST

Skip the traditional character analysis, and try this fun alternative assignment instead! After students have read a fictional short story or novel, students imagine that they have logged into a “Litflix” account where a character from the reading has been watching movies/TV shows. Students choose three films or shows that the character might have watched and justify their selections.

This assignment allows students to show an understanding of the development/growth of the character or a theme/question/idea presented in the story.
