IRONY BELL RINGERS

This funny presentation will not only get your students laughing, but they will also have a better understanding of situational irony! 

This Powerpoint includes 30 examples that are truly ironic. You can use them as a way to start your class with a laugh once a week for 30 weeks (or once a day for 30 days), or you can also use it during a lesson on irony! After seeing these examples, students will have a deep understanding of situational irony. 

I usually have my students raise their hands and tell me why it is ironic (based on the definition of irony), or I have them write down their reasons in a bell-ringer booklet.
