What do students do each of the days?

  • Monday Mastery: Students are introduced to the week’s grammar concept through a clear explanation and example-driven slide. They begin by identifying the rule/concept and demonstrating a basic understanding with a quick-response activity.
  • Tuesday Task: Students apply the grammar concept in context by completing short, skill-based tasks, such as identifying errors, choosing the correct form, or rewriting sentences.
  • Wednesday Writing: Students take their understanding a step further by writing an original paragraph or short response that applies the grammar rule correctly and creatively.
  • Thursday Team Up: On Thursdays, students work together in pairs (or individually if preferred) to complete an engaging, escape-room–style activity centered on the week’s grammar topic. Through collaboration, they identify grammar errors hidden within the challenges to uncover a mystery code and “escape.”
  • Friday Fix-Up: To wrap up the week, students read an engaging nonfiction paragraph and apply their learning by correcting errors related to that week’s grammar topic.
