A Wrinkle in Time Activity - Create an Awareness Campaign Novel Assignment
This A Wrinkle in Time activity is a research-based creative assignment where students explore real-world issues and design an awareness campaign inspired by Mrs. Which’s message about responsibility in Chapter 5. After reflecting on the quote, students choose an issue they care about, research key information, and create a poster, brochure, or digital presentation to inform and persuade others. This activity connects the novel’s themes to real life while helping students build research, writing, and communication skills in a meaningful way. This activity is best used after students have read Chapter 5, when they encounter The Happy Medium and begin to explore the novel’s themes of responsibility, justice, and the power of individuals to make a difference.

Included in the A Wrinkle in Time Activity Awareness Campaign Assignment:
➡️ Campaign Planning and Research Organizer: Students begin by reflecting on Mrs. Which’s quote and brainstorming real-world issues that connect to the idea of taking action. Using this guided organizer, they choose a topic, gather important facts, and plan how they will communicate their message. The organizer prompts students to consider their audience, purpose, and how to use both emotional and logical appeals to make their campaign effective. Students then use their completed plan to create a final awareness campaign in the form of a poster, brochure, or digital presentation, clearly explaining the issue and encouraging others to take action.
