Students will watch a 15 minute video of Jane Elliot's famous "Blue/Brown eye experiment" where she examines the dangers of discrimination in a third grade class shortly after Martin Luther King's death (Internet required). This video always leaves a powerful impression on my students and is one they never forget.
Included in your purchase is an assignment sheet with five questions. Four of the questions have students examine discrimination in the video, and the final question has them relate the video to the world today. Also included is an answer key for review. This activity is always a great springboard for discussion.
