With engaging, easy-to-understand readings on 15 Greek gods, corresponding self-grading, quizzes, digital activities, and a final creative project, you'll have everything you need.
This is a digital resource and students complete all the work on the computer. This works well with distance learning, 1:1 classrooms, remote teaching, Google Classroom, or online education.
INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE:
Teacher Google Slides Presentations: Use these teacher presentations to guide your lessons. Each slideshow includes pre-reading discussion questions to spark student interest in the god you are introducing, prompts to initiate reading and completing assignments, and detailed answer keys for the assignment to review responses as a whole class. With more than 122 slides, you will feel confident guiding students through each of the lessons.
Greek Gods Digital Articles: The unit includes 15 digital articles, each focusing on one of the Greek gods or goddesses. The articles were written to hook students in with the most fascinating information about each of the gods. Integrated within each of the articles are popular Greek myths that will engage even your most reluctant readers.
Reading Comprehension Quizzes: Check your students' understanding with the 15 self-grading Google Forms quizzes. Each quiz includes 10 multiple-choice questions related to the text. The questions were designed to check student comprehension and the answers keys are already built into the Google form, so no grading required!
Skills-Based Digital Response Assignments: Dive deeper into analyzing the text and making connections with these 15 digital skills-based assignments related to each of the readings. Students will have to look for text evidence, make text connections (self, text, world), examine language, respond creatively, and much more. Detailed answer keys are provided for reference and are also included in the teacher presentations.
Final Creative Digital Project: Newspaper of the Gods: Students will imagine that they are a journalist in ancient Greece, and are responsible for sharing the news of the day with all the Greek gods and goddesses on Mt. Olympus. Students will integrate they have learned throughout the unit to create a newspaper headline article, local news article, a special interview, and an advice column. Pre-writing digital organizers and templates are included with the project.
