➡️ 20 Celebrity Social Media Posts With Errors: Students will examine 20 social media posts from popular celebrities and correct errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. ➡️ Detailed Teacher Answer Key With Explanations: Use the included teacher answer keys to grade student work or review with the class. Each of the answer keys includes detailed explanations for each of the edits, so you will feel totally confident reviewing this grammar activity with your students.

➡️ Teacher Presentation Slides: Use the included teacher presentation slides to review all of the grammar activity edits with your students! The slides also include detailed explanations for each of the changes with an updated post that is error-free.

➡️ Social Media Editing Police Errors Assignment: After students have corrected the included celebrity grammar errors assignments, send them off to find grammar errors of their own! Have them read posts by their favorite celebrities to see if they can find any spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors in their writing with this fun assignment.

➡️ Social Media Editing Police Grammar Poster: Use the included poster to display the student assignment bulletin board! The poster will serve as a header for the student assignments.

How to Use This Editing Celebrity Grammar Activity:

This resource can be used in a few different ways:

  • Celebrity Grammar Edit of the Week: Introduce one of the grammar activity cards to your class per week for 20 weeks. Everyone gets a copy and makes the edits and reasoning on their own (or you can do it in groups or pairs). Then you can use the PowerPoint to go over them together as a class and come to a consensus.

  • Grammar Writing Centers: Include a packet of grammar activities at a writing center where students can choose which updates to work on. Edits can be made in their writing notebook rather than on the sheet (so you don’t have to make tons of copies). You can also make an answer key booklet for them to use after they are done!

  • Pair or Group Work: Give each pair or group of students a grammar activity and have them complete it together. Then each pair or group can present the update to the class and share what edits they made. The class can give further suggestions.

What Teachers Are Saying About This Editing Celebrity Grammar Activity:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My students really enjoy the editing with social media. Its a timely and current resource that helped my kids master "real world" editing. It was exactly what I was looking for and incorporated what I needed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My kids love pointing out how bad the celebrities are at writing. I have purchased two volumes and am likely going to look for others. This is a fun change up from our typical reading comprehension bell ringers that lets my kids get a little practice writing in themselves. Fun resource, I definitely recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect change-up for the classic proofreading paragraphs. Students enjoyed reading words of people they actually knew!
