Christmas Digital Grammar Activity - Editing Errors in Holiday Characters' Social Media: This Christmas grammar activity allows students to edit grammar, spelling, and punctuation in a fun and modern way! Students will have the chance to read some of their favorite Christmas characters' social media updates to find errors, correct them, and give reasons for their corrections! With fun illustrations and humorous social media "handles", this digital activity will give students something to smile about as they practice their grammar.

This is a digital resource and students complete all the work on a device. This works well with distance learning, 1:1 classrooms, remote teaching, Google Classroom, or online education.

Included In This Digital Christmas Grammar Activity:

➡️ 14 Social Media Christmas Grammar Digital Task Cards: Share these 14 digital social media task cards with students that you can share with students to edit. Each of the cards includes a social media post by a Christmas character, and students must locate and correct errors within the post.

➡️ Digital Task Cards Answer Key: After students have completed the task cards, share these answer keys that provide reasoning for all edits and make reviewing or grading your students' answers easy as can be.

➡️ Google Slides Answer Key Review Slides: Review the digital task cards with students using the included 15-slide Google Slides presentation. Each of the slides includes all the explanations for the errors, so you can easily review the answers with your students.

How To Use This Christmas Grammar Activity:

This resource can be used in a few different ways:

1. Christmas Edit Of The Day: Introduce one of the updates to your class each day for the 14 days leading up to Christmas break. Everyone receives a copy and makes the edits and reasoning on their own (or you can do it in groups or pairs). Then you can use the Google Slides to go over the update together as a class and come to a consensus.

2. Christmas Writing Centers: Include the digital task cards at a writing center where students can choose which updates to work on. Edits can be made in a doc rather than on the sheet. You can also make an answer key booklet for them to use after they are done!

3. Pair Work: Give each pair of students a Christmas update digital task card and have them complete it together. Then each pair can present the update to the class, and share what edits they made. The class can give further suggestions.

4. Group Work: Give a group of three or four students one of the Christmas social media posts and have them come to an agreement about the edits to make and the rewritten sentence. The group can present the update to the class when they are finished.
