Christmas Writing Activity - Snowball Writing Collaborative Poetry Writing: This fun collaborative Christmas acrostic poetry writing activity is sure to get even your most reluctant writers putting pencil to paper. Each student gets one of the 30 pre-made worksheets with a different holiday-themed acrostic poetry topic . They begin writing the poem by writing the first line, beginning with the first letter.

After an allotted amount of time, Writer #1 crumples their poem up into a "snowball" and throws it to the front of the room.

Everyone goes to the front to grab a snowball and they continue with the next line. This process is repeated until the poem is complete. After the poem is done, it is returned to the first person who completes a good copy of the poem.
