Romeo and Juliet Project - Newspaper Assignment is a fun and creative assignment where students will be given the opportunity to create a newspaper called "The Verona Times", in which they act as journalists living in Romeo and Juliet's world. This project would be an excellent final assessment for a unit on the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, with the bonus of exposing students to some of the skills and terms used in journalism. This ready-to-use resource includes a PowerPoint presentation outlining the project, worksheets, and a template for the newspaper.
