➡️ Freak the Mighty Killer Kane Character Assignments: Use these two creative assignments to help your students analyze the character of Kane in the novel. Students will use their knowledge of Kane's characterization, the novel, and their imaginative thinking to create a Wanted poster for Kane, as well as a letter to Max from his point of view in jail.

➡️ Freak the Mighty Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover Character Analysis: Teach your students one of the recurring ideas in Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, which is that you can't judge a book by its cover. This assignment allows students to examine 5 characters in the novel and discuss how that idea relates to them. Students will examine Max, Freak, Iggy, Loretta, and Kane to determine how they are not what they appear to be.
