In this assignment, students learn that a bad grammar virus has recently broken out that is spreading at an alarming rate. An apocalypse is eminent. People who contract the virus turn into vicious grammar monsters who attack anyone using bad conventions. To protect themselves, students must correct the errors in apocalypse inspired examples to stay safe.
The grammar concepts addressed in this assignment are spelling, commas, fragments, capitalization, homophones, apostrophes, and subject-verb agreement.
