EASTER CHARACTER ASSIGNMENT: EGG DECORATING

Bring Easter into your English class by skipping the traditional character analysis, and trying this fun alternative assignment instead! After students have read a fictional short story or novel, have them decorate an Easter egg for 2 characters and explain their reasons with support from the text! Students will be required to show an understanding of symbolism as the drawings/symbols on the eggs must relate in someway to the characters' personality or a theme that develops in the reading.
